- They represent approximately 6.5-6.6% of the Italian manufacturing sector, demonstrating high competitiveness, excellent management, and resilience to crises.
- Although small in number, they generate a significant portion of the sector’s added value and EBITDA.
What are the “Controvento” regions and sectors?
Lombardy leads the region in terms of absolute revenues from Controvento companies (over €33 billion). Emilia-Romagna, despite only around €20 billion, is growing faster than other regions and has the highest average productivity, surpassing Lombardy and Veneto.
Controvento’s importance is currently growing in Southern Italy. According to the Observatory, the relative share of high-performance companies in the regional manufacturing total is increasing in the South.
