SHIPPING ITALY: WHAT TEFIN SUCCEEDED IN 2023?

The international scenario as well as the national one showed problems and uncertainty..yet we managed  to  maintain and confirm what we had planned at  the beginning of  2023:

a reliable and exclusively position for maintenance and new installations in the maritime field,  a strong organizational structure, a technical service  extending more and more into new international markets,  and various high profile projects.

Over the course of the year, we have clearly defined firm objectives for new investments which represent the evolution of any company while  giving companies  greater visibility and trust  in  the markets.

The unceasing search for specialized personnel on new systems and products has involved Tefin in a frenetic activity supporting both technical training in-house and updating dedicated  courses for our technicians  at the  headquarters  of  the major makers in the maritime sector.

The acquisition of new, increasingly cutting-edge equipment has also allowed us to offer customers greater availability for  service,  in order to positively contribute to our role of problem solvers.

We have been active and competitive in the home  market  but it is on the international front  that we are investing more. A US agency has been mandated to represent us in the US territory and specifically in Florida, to better penetrate/develop the cruise market for us.

The intercultural inclusion of foreign staff has allowed us to broaden our skills and opportunities. We are successfully collaborating with the UNHCR agency, an international organization for refugees. A complex but at the same time interesting and dynamic project, especially due to the challenges involved in managing multicultural staff. We do like and enjoy  challenges!

We could briefly summarize our 2023 course of business, which is linked to and inspires that of 2024, as follows :

• important orders processed for various ship-owners – installation of our ESS Energy Saving System product on 36 ship units – while applying  28 VDRs and working on 10 retrofits in partnership;

• collaboration and coordination on projects and investments underway between the major players in the national and international market: reducing costs and times for both companies and customers. Such prototype activity has  already been implemented by us in the past and monitored to ensure its development.

Specifically, we would like to engage top leaders in the maritime industry to enhance the project and extend it globally. You are all invited to share in this!

We will request/organize a meeting/event at the beginning of 2024 to present and share the best perspective for the entrepreneurial sector.

A year is always a surprise but the key is to manage and turn surprises into advantages to be developed courageously. We think we have succeeded for 2023 and we will continue into 2024.
