The ecosystem is at stake!
Ballast Water Treatment Systems can surely help.

Today a green economy is a smart goal.  Tefin has always been sensitive to this concept and interested in problems of pollution.

For the past 8 years, Tefin has been a technical/commercial partner, exclusively for Italy,   with Bio-UV, a French company for the Ballast Water Treatment System (www.bio-uv.com).

The Bio-UV company was one of the first producers to receive USCG certification.  Actually, there are two versions of this system.

One for large vessels (from 100-2000 mc/h) for cargo and cruise ships, as well as a specific one for mega yachts (from 10 to 120 mc/h).  The second version can be customized for mega yachts and allows us to offer some advantages over other competitors.

To date, we have successfully sold the system to more than 35 units between ships and mega yachts; we are responsible for the commissioning and then we assist our clients with ordinary/extraordinary maintenance.

All our service technicians are certified and trained directly in Lunel, France.

This is a long-established partnership from which we continually receive upgrades and support for the safety of both ships and the environment.

We are convinced the Ballast Water Treatment System is essential.  There are many who affirm its usefulness and importance.

In fact, we know that all the international members, part of the IMO, International Maritime Organization, are working to protect the oceans.

We know that all the international members, part of IMO, the International Maritime Organization, are working to protect the oceans.  They have been fighting for many years to safeguard these ecosystems.

The problem stems from the movement and great distances traveled by merchant/cargo/cruise ships, which use sea waters in ports for ballast to ensure a proper waterline and safe navigation.

Ballast water is therefore a critical element to be reckoned with. In fact, the operation of loading and discharging water from ships unfortunately does not take into account contamination of the seas.  Presently, often this is done without considering the clear risk of altering the local ecosystem.

We are at the forefront to support /protect the ecosystem worldwide and we do believe the Ballast Water Treatment System can be a remarkable smart solution for ensuring a safer plus healthier and cleaner navigation wherever you go.
