Reducing costs and “downtime” and predicting equipment failures before they occur is a goal… succeeding is certainly a plus that should not be underestimated!
We have been successfully performing vibrometric analysis of rotating machines for several years.
Vibrometric inspection allows us to perform checks on the operation of rotating equipment such as, pumps, fans, agitators, compressors, etc.
The vibrometric survey focuses on two aspects:
- Amplitude of vibration: permits testing machine functioning and the level of malfunctioning.
- Frequency response test: permits detection of vibration causes (misalignment, imbalances, bearing malfunctioning, rotor windings, etc.).
We perform this test using the innovative Emerson Machinery Health Manager software, able to create a database of all the info related to the equipment tested. The analyzer used is the CSI 2130 which collects and processes the full spectrum of vibrations.
Vibrometric analysis is recommended every four/six months to develop reliable documentation about the correct operation of the equipment.
The report will provide both the diagnosis of the anomalies found and the technical suggestions for potential future maintenance. It may also represent a useful reference for the client’s technicians, in the event of a critical situation.
Another benefit: with our testing equipment we can carry out rotating machine balancing on site – no need to move the machinery.
This testing activity is indeed very useful both for monitoring equipment operation as well as for predictive maintenance (PdM)!
As never before, proper performance of equipment represents a real added value!
