THE COLLABORATION IN THE WINDSTAR CRUISES PROJECT-SHIP LENGTHENING- IN PALERMO, CONTINUES TO BE A GREAT CHALLENGE AND OPPORTUNITY!

• The Tefin team, about 70 specialized technicians, is working on the project.

• The project, started in October 2019, is now scheduled to end in August 2021.

• Tefin is providing the electrical work/refitting mostly for the public areas, along with the propulsion control station, the motor system and for the 

• Two of the three ships of Windstar Cruises, Star Breeze and Star Legend have been We are now successfully finalizing work on Star Pride.

 We all know that, job-wise,  conversions, retrofits &  New Builds require innovation to be   adjusted to the needs  which arise and are ascertained during the work in progress.

– As a matter of fact, our  engineers developed/installed NEW SYNOPTIC PANELS for signaling watertight  and side  doors for  the Wheelhouse and the onboard Safety Center, carrying out:  – Dismantling of pre-existing  panel– Analysis of the existing system – Carpentry  and   cable laying — Electrical connections with the new installed doors — Wiring of the new panels — Interface electronics wiring — Functional tests

The panel was modified to allow the addition of 7 new watertight doors and 2 new side doors, as well as the screen printing of the “ stretched” ship.
Synoptic panels allow  to facilitate and simplify activities in the workplace and on board the ship!
